Fluor Field at the WestEnd, Greenville

4.7
#2 of 38 in Things to do in Greenville
Tourist Spot Arena / Stadium
Home to Minor League Baseball's Greenville Drive, which is associated with the Boston Red Sox, Fluor Field at the WestEnd seats 5,700 people and resembles the famed Fenway Park. Designed as a tribute to Boston's well-known stadium, the field features almost identical dimensions, including a tribute to Boston's gargantuan left-field wall. The field also highlights its own baseball history, including the lives of players with ties to the region. Be sure to check the team's schedule to see if you can catch a game while you're in town. • Best minor league stadium I have been to. The seats, view and bathrooms are better than Fenway, and Caroline's ice cream is the best. I just wish they would bring back the Italian food place.
  • Excellent facility for Class A Minor League baseball. Plenty of food/beverage options. Family friendly.
  • Loved the area that my seat was in, the seats are not meant for anyone over 5'4" tall. My knees were cramped other than that it is a nice ball park. Traffic after the game is a chore to maneuver through. Be prepared to wait when leaving
  • Fun minor league Baseball. What's not to like? Easy access plenty of parking if you don't mind walking 2 or 3 blocks
  • The baseball team is fun to watch but you get the classic baseball feel from the game. If you don't know the field is modeled after the field of their major league affiliates the Boston red sox

Greenville's main street is home to a few historical hotels with elegant lobbies and rooms that recall the opulence of the early 20th century. Chain hotels with both standard rooms and suites are scattered throughout the city and near the airport. To be close to nature without sacrificing the city, consider a lodge or cabin in one of the nearby national parks.
