  • Nice trails along the river, several ponds to fish or boat (non-power). Picnic shelters. Open spaces!  more »
  • Nice place. Lots to do. You can fish, walk, rent a kayak and there is a museum. We walked around. I was a little disappointed that I didn't see more wildlife. Didn't see any exotic birds like herons. ...  more »

  • The park was very well maintained. There is plenty of wildlife to be seen. All things are closed on Mondays, (the day we visited) but everything looks to be in good shape. The walk pleasant and very manageable.
  • A couple ponds to fish and kayak. And few picnic tables available near the water. For a small fee you can water through the nature center displays of skeletons, shells, snakes, and mounted animals. Kids can touch the turtles too.
  • Friendly staff...beautiful park with good fishing.
  • A piece of the great outdoors in this busy city. Across the Tar River from Greenville proper, River Park North offers a museum, bathrooms, acres of play areas, boating access, fishing piers, nature trails and educational opportunities as well as arts and crafts. To me it's an underused asset of Pitt County. Great place to walk your dog...on a leash of course. FYI, watch out for poison ivy.
  • Nice quite park with a nature center, small playground, short hiking trails that are easy walk (mostly flat land).
