East Carolina University Reviews
Our daughter is doing a 1 year international student exchange program so we thought we would pay her a visit before heading off on a road trip. Absolutely love the the huge and impressive campus it is... more »
Went for the ECU-VT game, and it was my first visit to the field. Nice facilities and reasonably priced concessions. Friendly folks, though I was surrounded by fellow Hokies in my section. Clean restr... more »

In the party, which lost, looks good from the top which is where we were, the problem has been that we have gone much heat and no part of the stadium had visor, so we spent the most Sun and was very hot. A bad thing, is that we buy a bottle of water, and glass with ice, charge you a part as if were a very poor drink this attitude...
Graduated with a couple degrees and found jobs easily afterwards. Some phenomenal professors. Great school spirit and the party-atmosphere is becoming overshadowed by some of the more prominent colleges of the university. Some of the greatest years of my life.
Though it's known as a party school, East Carolina is still a great university. Unreal amount of school spirit, and incredible on-campus atmosphere.
This school stands out in a state that full of some of the best Universities in the country and East Carolina is no exception. The quality of teachers at this school is hard to touch and the results cannot be argued. The success of this school can definitely be associated with the excellent teaching but it obviously goes beyond that in the selection process. This University seems to accept kids with not just exceptional brains but with incredible business sense and an ability to socially interact that I haven't seen at other universities. I have been very lucky to find many great employees there and have recently considered only recruiting from East Carolina. I can go to other schools in the same league but 9 out of ten times the students from say UNC or NC State don't seem to be able to sale themselves or any product.
It is a very well established University that has taking care of our baby girl. She has grown into a very beautiful and responsible young lady. Look out WORLD she has accomplished so much in her time at ECU. It is hard to believe that it is almost over. We laughed and cried the first day we dropped her off. We will be experiencing the same feeling again . It won't be long she is a SENIOR this year!!!!! WOW!!! Where has the time gone.. We just want to let her know that we are so proud of her and all of her Accomplishments at ECU!!! We love you to the Moon and Back. Thank you for taking us on your Journey !!! Always Remember "TIME +EFFORT = SUCCESS LOVE ALWAYS MOM, DAD, BIG SISTER AND KY "BUG" BRITTANY B. CLAYTON
ECU has many top tier schools and students have many opportunities but the liberal, partying, anything goes culture robs the unprepared of a decent sober education. Pitt Community College is a more demanding school classwork-wise and with continued additions is a better value for your parents and your future loan payments. I graduated from both schools, FYI. Note: I am grateful for the University's cultural and economic contributions to our town, just making a personal experience observation that ECU could be greater.
