  • I was there about a month ago and found it to be a very interesting museum. Surrounded by a beautiful seashore in Greenport, NY, the museum had many items on exhibit and some very interesting facts about the area and Long Island as a whole. It was fun and exciting to see.
  • This is a small local Seaport Museum with a big heart and great, caring people running it. They have many objects that once were commonplace, and are still fascinating. Like the lenses from lighthouses, charts and maps, nautical instruments, information on marine and terrestrial wildlife. We attended a lecture on “Celestial Navigation” which was entertaining as well as informative. There were refreshments including a fruit platter, cheese and meat board, cookies and baked goods, wine and soda – all well worth the admission even before the value of the lecture. We enjoyed the experience so much, we joined the museum and plan to return for more lectures.
