  • The most magical place on all of Whidbey Island. When my family moved to Greenbank, my siblings and I were exploring the forest near our home, and after hiking for a long time, we walked into this park accidentally. It was like walking into a dream. Beautiful, peaceful, lovely ponds, and full of so many colors. I will always love this place.
  • Peaceful garden to discover plants of many types.
  • For a five dollar entrance fee the gardens are a great way to spend a few hours. Upon entering the gardens you will walk through a small hut where a volunteer will offer some background info, advise you of the trail status, and give you a map. The test gardens, one of the first areas you'll enter, contain an enormous array of different rhododendrons that are being selectively bred for specific traits. The gazebo area has free coffee and the volunteers are happy to share a few words or just leave you in peace to wander around. Definitely worth stopping by and exploring on a sunny day. A word of warning! The gardens are full of flowers which means they are also full of bees. Bring your allergy medication or an epi-pen if you need it.
  • Beautiful place, check it out. The volunteers really put their whole hearts in it.
  • I took my family here who was visiting from out of state and I'm very glad I did. They have a wonderful assortment of plants and flowers and the place is absolutely beautiful. The staff is very friendly. There are also some great nature trails. If you are afraid of bees (like me) or dislike mosquitoes then be careful. Wear bug spray!
