  • The park is at a great height in the mountains. We went there on July 4th and saw fireworks happening in many parts of NJ state. Though from far but it was an awesome experience.  more »

  • This is a small park, but there is an amazing view from the first row of mountains that divide north from central New Jersey. On a clear day you can also see Manhattan.  more »

  • This area was used by General George Washington in 1777 to monitor the British troops during the American Civil War. Although this park is 52 acres, the active area of the park is smaller due to the mountainous terrain. This park has awesome views letting you see as far south as Central New Jersey and the New York City skyline to the left. If you go, I'd recommend bringing your binoculars with you, or you may use one of the two stationary binoculars that are in the park. Note that the parking lot is on the opposite side of the quiet street.
  • An absolutely beautiful view. Clean and well kept. Was working in the area so I went by myself to relax but if im in the area again I will definitely take my wife and watch the sunset here.
  • Beautiful little park with gorgeous views. Have been coming here since I was little with my parents. Great memories. A cute place to have q picnic and be somewhere historical.
  • General George Washington and the continental army camped near here and used this viewpoint with majestic and sweeping views from Staten Island to New Brunswick and west to PA, to observe British troop movements. Beautiful spot. Also nearby. Site where Betsy Ross' flag was first flown.
  • Very quiet pick of central NJ.. Not yet too popular in the people. Very nice view covering lot of town. Only thing comes in mind is state should seriously think about developing this place.
