  • Beautiful view. Hiking trail. Easy pull off from road. Has a sign about the stop. No bathrooms. No picnic area.  more »
  • Nice for a sight seeing visit of a decent waterfall. If it is warm, it is nice to hike down to the sinks for a little walk through the water.  more »
  • The Sinks is about 20 minutes from the Sugarland entrance as you head towards Cades Cove. There is a small sign on the road, but it is easy to miss. There is a parking lot that can hold about 20 cars/...  more »

  • Lovely waterfall along the road leading in to Cades Cove. Reasonably sized parking area. Several trail lead out from here.
  • Always a beautiful area to visit and enjoy the sounds of nature. It is sometimes very crowded in the warm weather months, so go early for parking.
  • Beautiful display of mother nature in the force of the water. Very dangerous if you get to close. Lots of parking. Trailheads visible and stairs. We did not hike. History of how area was man-made was interesting. Worth a stop and maybe a hike!
  • pretty scenery and deceptively dangerous. every year someone loses there life in these small pools of rushing water. it is often busy with tourists.
  • Great place to hang out for an afternoon! Short, scenic drive from Gatlinburg, and lots of friendly folks hanging out, taking pictures, swimming, and jumping off the rocks. We had so much fun in the water, we didn't even get to any of the trails we saw leaving the area...

Where to stay in Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park, choose between developed campgrounds where you can pitch your tent by your car and access restrooms and showers, or more primitive vehicle-accessed campgrounds. The park also offers accommodations in a permanent structure at LeConte Lodge, which is accessible via five different hiking trails. (There is no car access; you must hike in to use this lodge.) For a wider array of lodging options, stay in Gatlinburg.
