  • We love driving the Roaring Fork. It's peaceful as it is not as well travelled as Cade's Cove. There are several old structures to see-homes, a mill. There are restrooms at some of the trail-heads. Th...  more »
  • Roaring Fork motor trail is a must do while in Gatlinburg. It skirts the national park and is a car trail. roll the windows down, get the camera ready and coast along. There are places to pull off and...  more »
  • We went on an August day and it wasn't too busy. It was a little packed at the parking areas for the trails, but driving wasn't bad. There are plenty of spots for slow drivers to pull over so I wouldn...  more »

  • This a great driving trail. Plenty of places to pullover, get out, take a short hike, or view. Excellent for traveling with kids that can't/don't walk long distances. We saw a bear near the road by a picnic area. We got out and played in a stream and a small waterfall. We went on a couple short hikes. It was a wonderful morning.
  • Nice drive but can be busy. We went late in the afternoon and saw a bear with 2 cubs. Also a lot of nice places to stop and visit including a old mill.
  • This place is certainly a fine dinning experience. We were taken care of beautifully by their entire team. A fresh four course meal was prepared for us. The only negative was our table location near the small bar and line to the single- person restroom
  • Beat the "cove" crowd and the winding drive. Great little 30 min nature hike at the Ogle homestead...beautiful river at the halfway point. But get there before 10:00 to find a spot in the small parking lot. Kinda hard to find...turn at streetlight number 6.
  • Awesome driving trail. Roads are narrow and very steep an you descend from the mountain. Hard on your brakes but well worth it
