  • It was a beautiful hike. It is up a mountain so be prepared if you are out of shape( like me) it can be a bit of a tough climb. However it is totally worth the effort!  more »

  • Nice, little half-day hike. After 11:30am, the trail gets a bit crowded. Pretty falls you can climb around a bit. Some slippery rocks, though. Pretty rocky trail in some sections and the way to the falls is pretty much all uphill. So, the way back is almost all downhill. Be warned, folks with knee problems. Nice sound of moving water for a large chunk of the hike. Very relaxing.
  • One if the best trails in the Smokies. There was some fire damage but its not nearly as bad as Chimney Tops. Plus the trail was cleared and reopened quickly. Its a good hike if you're looking for long empty stretches without feeling totally isolated. The falls themselves are beautiful. Try going after a hard rain to see them at the maximum volume.
  • Combined with the beautiful trail and the weather, this trails goes to my list of one the best trails. The fall is beautiful.
  • The falls were beautiful, but be prepared for a long, hard hike. It took two adults about 5 hours to complete the trail. Half of the trail was burned in the fall of 2016. Beautiful trail, just more work than we expected.
  • A wonderful hike, just short of 3 miles. Intermediate course, with some rocky steps along the way. A truly beautiful waterfall, an 80 foot drop, Niagra Falls it isn't, but the rock face backdrop is a breathtaking reward for beginners and casual hikers.
