  • This was my favorite hike during our trip to the Smokys. It is a longer one, but the ascent was not overwhelming. If you are in good shape, you can keep going with minimal stopping as we weren't getti...  read more »
  • I hate this trail. It's a bunch of never ending crap. I busted my tail trying to get to the crappy falls. Actually climbed up on a huge rock & had a better view. Also really enjoyed tripping on a stup...  read more »

  • Good hike up hill 2.7 miles plan ahead bring water and a camera. Possibly see black bear and deer. We did.
  • This trail is definitely challenging due to the rocky terrain and the elevation gain. It felt great to finish though, and was worth every sore muscle I had the next day👍
  • This is one of my favorite trails in the park. Yes, it's long and rough but the scenery along the way and Rainbow Falls make it a rewarding hike. Start early because you will need most of a summer day if you go at a leisurely pace.
  • In agreement with other reviewers-start early, bring a ton of water and a full lunch. Probably some first aid equipment. My cell has no service(for emergencies) up here, but my friend's phone actually had great service for most of the hike, even at the falls! Expect to see a lot of other people and get at least your feet wet. (Have to cross a couple of streams)
  • The scenery is very nice. It's a bit long and definitely not for inexperienced hiker. Make sure to go early so you can finish the round trip before dawn.
