  • A little school house. Right in front of the school was a cemetery they have new markers for most if them which is nice since the stones there where just stones or in the case of a few no markers at a...  more »
  • We hiked from Metcalf Bottoms because we found the one lane gravel road to be a little too scary for us. We had the place to ourselves and wandered around the cemetery before hiking on to the Walkers ...  more »

  • This is an interesting building, and it's super accessible. If you're up for a small hike, it's also the trailhead to the Walker Sisters cabin (1.1 miles away on a (mostly) gravel trail).
  • The park has taken good care of the school house. There's not much to see but there are trails to get there from the picnic area, or you can just drive up there and park.
  • Visit on Tuesdays, a volunteer staffs the school on those days who is very knowledgeable and entertaining.
