There is no place like Greenbrier. It's so very beautiful. There are not regular bathrooms. Composting type toilets. And yes they are kind of gross. But the peace and beauty is worth the sacrifice of ...  more »

This was an awesome place to have a picnic and hang out by the water. The kids loved playing in the creek. I am so glad we found it. I highly recommend it.  more »

Can hike, float or play if you're the active type. Or you can pull up a nice big rock, listen to the water flow by and let your soul be refreshed. Something for everyone! Plus, great place for a picnic.

Beautiful scenery, lots of tables & grills for charcoal grilling. Tables have an info placard about not feeding bears, suggestions, etc. Further up the hill has another picnic pavilion near the porter creek loop. Great place to drop out of cell phone signal and just connect with nature. Many trails right along river. River is a hot spot during the hottest days of summer, cool slide-like area over rocks, smooth from algae and mosses.

I've run into locals on hikes in here and they ask how I found the trail. It's that good that they don't tell anyone.

Great area next the the river to stop and picnic. Not very crowded either if you hit it right.
