  • We accidentally went there. Fortunately, the view there is awesome. There are a lot of tables to have meals.
  • Never been here before but saw this place while riding in the park so we decided to come back for a picnic. The view is so nice and peaceful . There is a creek which runs beside the area but since it ...  more »

  • Awesome place to bring the family for a picnic or bbq! The scenery is full of trees and the mountain river. After lunch we took the kids for a swim in the river, climbed rocks, swam in the shallow pools, skipped rocks and just enjoyed nature.
  • Every trip to Gatlinburg will find us playing in the Chimneys Picnic Area. The water is always cold and the area is covered with shade. Be careful climbing the large rocks, they are slippery when wet. The picnic areas have charcoal grills setup for cooking, just supply your own food and picnic supplies. There are three regular restroom buildings that are typical national park high efficiency restrooms and a handicap accessible restroom near the handicap accessible picnic spots.
  • One of our favorite spots in the Smokies! Also stop by the Sugarlands Visitor Center, just before it. Great place to grill out & enjoy the nature. Saw two bear cubs near the road right around the curve from here!! (A park ranger was present!)
  • Greatest place to enjoy the best of Smokey mountains! The rocks will give kids and adults hours of fun to climb on. The river is a must see.
  • Amazing place, bit hard for new hikers. A pretty steep climb at the end.
