  • Awesome picnic spot. The parking is basically one or two cars per table. The spot are limited but worth it if one is available. The stream is so close and really amazing! There are pit toilets and grill boxes at each site.
  • One of the best places to stop and have a picnic in the Smokies. It can get crowded, but there are plenty of tables. It has handicapped accessible spots and bathroom facilities on site.
  • This was a gem. Even with all of the people about, it was still quiet and serene. The view of the river and its subsequent access was impressive.
  • So beautiful set up, relaxing way to have a picnic lunch or just relax
  • Every trip to Gatlinburg will find us playing in the Chimneys Picnic Area. The water is always cold and the area is covered with shade. Be careful climbing the large rocks, they are slippery when wet. The picnic areas have charcoal grills setup for cooking, just supply your own food and picnic supplies. There are three regular restroom buildings that are typical national park high efficiency restrooms and a handicap accessible restroom near the handicap accessible picnic spots.
