  • We stopped here to have lunch, and it was very nice. Cool, shady and quiet. We didn't see any wildlife, but there were a bunch of people around.  more »

  • One of our favorite spots. It is quiet with a stream down one side for people to enjoy. We go and take a picnic or something to grill and just spend the day. It can get very full during special events and times during the year so plan early on those occasions.
  • Beautiful! This is our favorite campground. Unfortunately, it’s everyone’s too! It can be very crowded. Crazy crowded. During off peak times and during the week, it’s not so bad. It’s got awesome water to play in and splash about. There’s big rocks to crawl on. It’s got everything. We like to grill and hang out and explore all the little things.
  • The best kept secret place for picnics. Usually 10+ degrees cooler. Love to sit and read a book while my husband cooks lunch or dinner.
  • Beautiful. Shady and pleasant, picnic tables matched up with ample parking spots that fit one or two cars, the bathrooms were on the clean side for a public park. The river is lovely, fun to wander thru, and there were butterflies everywhere! (Mid-July). This was definitely a highlight of our trip up into the Smokies.
  • The most amazing place to stop and picnic when visiting the Smoky Mountains.. the individual picnic pods are so convenient.. just pull into a mini driveway and you have your own picnic table and grill.. just enough space between pods to feel isolated yet efficiently stacked tons of pods into a great place on the edge of a very scenic river.
