  • We added the short trail to Cataract Falls after completing the 1.2 mile nature trail that started at the Sugarlands Visitor Center. It made a great introductory hike, something that even very young c...  read more »
  • This is about a 2 minute walk from parking lot. Very easy walk. Falls barely had any water though, so kind of disappointing.
  • Fun short hike through the woods to a little waterfall. Make sure you stop at the visitors center because there's a neat little museum inside. My 6 year old loved it!
  • These falls were very beautiful and really easy to get to! It is a short walk back to these falls on a wide and flat path which makes it very accessible to many different people! I really enjoyed these falls and as much as I love hiking back to find other falls it was also nice to have an easy path to find this beautiful fall!
  • This was a fun, easy little hike. I really wouldn't even call it a hike from the trail head to the falls. A very good place to bring kids and the family. The main downside is that it's quite crowded, at least when we went. You can continue along the trails past the falls, and see some pretty cool sites, but we didn't get to go very far as our own little one was getting tired.
  • Gatlinburg Trail was an easy hike along Fighting Creek. It was interesting reading the brochure and know that I was walking a similar path that 25 families walked to church and school many years ago. Cataract Falls was beautiful. We appreciated the log bench where we could sit and enjoy the view.
  • Nice easy quick hike/walk. Small waterfall. Great if you have kids.
  • Beautiful natural scenery a short walk from the visitor's center. It can get crowded at times. Be mindful of the season you visit, there's not very much "falls" in the heat of the summer (mid July).
