  • This was a very short hike and the yield was only a small waterfall. To be fair, I like long and more strenuous and adventurous hikes. Plus, it was the Fall when we went, I'm sure it's a more impressi...  more »
  • A very easy hike near the Sugarlands VIsitor Center. Keep in mind that during dry periods, the falls are not as wonderful as in rainy seasons!
  • we went to the cataract falls and the best about it was that the hike was not that long...as we had kids with us, we loved it. Maybe our timing was wrong as there was hardly any water falling from the...  more »

  • These falls were very beautiful and really easy to get to! It is a short walk back to these falls on a wide and flat path which makes it very accessible to many different people! I really enjoyed these falls and as much as I love hiking back to find other falls it was also nice to have an easy path to find this beautiful fall!
  • Nice easy quick hike/walk. Small waterfall. Great if you have kids.
  • This was a fun, easy little hike. I really wouldn't even call it a hike from the trail head to the falls. A very good place to bring kids and the family. The main downside is that it's quite crowded, at least when we went. You can continue along the trails past the falls, and see some pretty cool sites, but we didn't get to go very far as our own little one was getting tired.
  • Gatlinburg Trail was an easy hike along Fighting Creek. It was interesting reading the brochure and know that I was walking a similar path that 25 families walked to church and school many years ago. Cataract Falls was beautiful. We appreciated the log bench where we could sit and enjoy the view.
  • Was pretty dry and very small waterfall. Very easy to get to if you have small children or have trouble getting around.
