  • By far or favorite park. It's by the Potomac river, and you can rent various canoes/kayaks/fishing rowboats (kayaks rental requires you've taken a safety class with them prior). The visitor center sells the basics (water, ocean, fishing stuff), and the restrooms are decent. The aren't that many grills (but plenty of tables), so bring yours if you got one. Trails are excellent, and if you're up to it, you can hike to Great Falls and enjoy the waterfalls (~45mins each way).
  • I'd heard of Riverbend Park from my husband and a friend and maybe I'd been there before, so when my husband and I were thinking of what we should do after attending Easter sunrise service at our church I thought going to Riverbend Park to see the Virginia bluebells would be a nice way to spend a beautiful morning. We took a leisurely walk along the river and marveled at the thousands of bluebells. Definitely going back!
  • Went to chill at the park today but ended up very freaked out by all the snakes everywhere near the railing. Are these poisonous snakes? We really enjoyed our first visit to this park but after seeing all these snakes today I'm afraid of going kayaking again. Sad 😖
  • Very nice, clean and calm area. Love to be relaxed beside river. Trial to Great falls park is awesome.
  • Peaceful, serene, and never too crowded. Not exactly a 'hiking' trail, but a nice in between for those days when you just wanna stroll and have a beautiful view.
