  • This is a fantastic park that is well-worth the drive from Harrisburg. Expansive, with plenty of parking and lots to do. Boating, picnicking, hiking - they have it all. Hiked a fair amount in the park...  read more »
  • This is a well maintained State Park located near Indiantown Gap. Lots of things to do, from hiking, to boating, having a picnic or stopping at any of the fitness stops to test your abilities. Dog friendly and not often crowded, it affords a lot of value for no admission price!
  • Memorial Lake state park is a pretty cool park that off the Annville / Indiantown gap Exit of I-81 North. It has fishing, boating and hiking. It is a decent place to rent a boat (canoe, kayak, paddleboat, rowboat) and just go out and relax on the lake. It does have a hiking / jogging path all around it, which is one of the few I've ever totally completed. It consists of 230 acres, which is surrounded by Fort Indian Gap military Reservation, near the base of Blue Mountain. It was built to honor servicemen who served in WWI and WWII, hence the name. Its great for family events, there are always people there having fun and relaxing. Cookouts, pavilions, you name it. There's a modest concession stand and also a small playground for children. Accessible by three different roads.
  • There are numerous walking trails, great place for a family picnic with stable seating areas , grills and bathroom facility
  • It's a very nice park and a good place to fish...
  • We arrived around 7 AM. The atmosphere was serene and the lake beautiful. The scenic trails are filled with wildlife. The park also enjoys a close proximity to Muir Army Airfield. At approximately 9am, our dedicated National Guard soldiers begin their helicopter training, proudly, loudly, and continuously in the skies overhead. I would recommend this park for earlybirds, helicopter aficionados, and the hard of hearing. N.B. We were there on a weekday; the choppers might be grounded during the weekend. Without the constant swarm of helicopters, Memorial Lake Park would be better rated.
