Spend a day hiking Jenny Lake Trail, located within one of the country's major national parks and offering sweeping views of Wyoming's foaming waterfalls and rugged mountain peaks. This 11.4 km (7.1 mi) trail offers hikes ranging from easy to strenuous; it attracts adventure seekers of all ages and fitness levels. The trail circles a lake created by glaciers about 12,000 years ago, and provides access to climbing routes leading to some of the tallest peaks of the Teton Range. If you don't feel like hiking back, you can board a boat for a return trip across the lake to the visitor center. Print or download a map of the trailhead before your visit, and be aware that black and grizzly bears inhabit the area.
