Stayed 5 nights in a cabin, ate in the on site restaurant breakfast and Dinner. The cabins are pretty dated- this is sold as a plus by the operator giving an "authentic" feel to the experience of bein... read more »

I take it that Colter Bay Village includes not only the lodging area (cabins [reviewed separately], Tent Village, and Campgrounds), but also the ancillary services (Visitor Center, Marina and Marina S... read more »
It served its purpose. We stayed in a cabin for five nights. They weren't the cleanest place I've ever stayed in - perhaps introduce a vacuum on occasion - but, hey, it's camping, right? Sort of. We had a cabin with two rooms and a bathroom; one room had two twin beds and one had a full size bed. All were considered reasonably comfortable. Lighting in the bathroom was adequate but really didn't extend to the shower. The shower was a bit tight but it was more than we ever had when camping as a boy. There was plenty of hot water; the 55-gal hot water tank even served to heat the space. The village was very convenient to the places we wanted to visit and offered us everything we needed - meals, groceries, gift shop, laundry, etc. And the view was tremendous! I would definitely do this place again.
This campground is awesome for scenic view. But you should wait a lot for checking in even though in the morning if you didn't reserve this campground. The facilities are good, well maintained, but if you are a camper who want to go camping in a tent there, you should check the dishwashing room. It looks like a toilet., so I couldn't use this. You can use a free WiFi in the laundry near this campground. But I hope to visit there again down the road.

Cabin Tents were great and easy to use as a base camp. A little removed if bulk of time is in Jackson or Yellowstone but perfect for Tetons. Amenities fine and slightly better than expected.
Rustic cabins. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can't beat this area for beautiful scenery. Ranch House is convenient and has decent, though not especially memorable food. Some nice easy hiking, with great scenery, nearby, and a great place to launch my kayak.
I had a very pleasent stay at colter bay. We did kayaking at the colter bay marina and the view of the mountains were amazing. All the staff there wwas very friendly and polite.
