Where to stay in Grand Rapids

Only five hotels provide lodging downtown, but each charms its guests with a distinctive character. A small collection of bed and breakfasts and inns populate Old Town. These hotels are a five-minute walk from the city's main attractions, top restaurants, and conference centers, so they tend to fill up fast. Book a room early to ensure you get the lodging of your choice. There are also hotel chains near the airport and in residential areas; public transport and taxi service link these to the city's downtown.

  • Friendly staff welcoming into this arts centre. Displays change; currently "Them is Us". Is only $5 so well worth a visit  more »
  • Most recently attended during art prize. Happened on a short free symphony concert, which was wonderful and beautiful. Admission was free and there were one or two interesting pieces. It's quite a sma...  more »
  • The question should be: Why is this institute driven to make a social comment instead of letting the nature of the art reveal itself? Superior setting, lackluster art work.  more »

  • Support this venue! I love coming here for all of the odd or independent movies that the Loeks theaters either don't get, or don't host for very long. The staff is always very kind, and the gift shop here is full of really unique gifts. The exhibits here are exciting, and the environment is always serene. I love this place, please opt to see your indie films here, or be brave & check out one you've never heard of!
  • Came here for the first time (outside of ArtPrize) when I had some time to kill and it was a very delightful experience! There is a lot to see and take in. The museum is quiet and relaxing and the art isn't overwhelming, so you have time to enjoy every work.
  • Awesome films, theater is empty empty empty. A true GR hidden gem. Recommended.
  • It's is such a nice place to visit with reasonable fees! I love the way they set up everything in a comfy space ❤support this spot!
  • Absolutely amazing place. The staff here are phenomenal and completely accommodating, not to mention they never make you feel like an outlier in the museum, offering to explain various exhibits and make visitors as comfortable as possible. Not just that, the movies here are always entertaining, interesting, and wonderfully artistic.
