  • I love it! We went during the Andy Warhol exhibit and though it was not a very large exhibit it was still beautiful and.informative. I'd have to say my favorite part was sitting and listening/watching the Christian Marclay video quartet. They also have concerts but unfortunately we misses it during our visit.
  • Our family of 6 adults visited the museum today, we enjoyed the Andy Warhol exhibit as well as the Christian Marclay Video Quartet. The other pieces were great too, sketch art, oil paintings, ceramics, furniture pieces, something for everyone. Staff was nice, we had a very nice afternoon.
  • Cute museum. A bit smaller than I expected and almost all modern art, but the presentation was impeccable and what they did have was really cool
  • I think there was more art in the gift shop than on exhibit. Most of the exhibit space was completely empty, There is an exhibit of Andy Warhol pieces, and then a 17 minute video and that's about it. I was hoping for a broader collection, and maybe even more information about the pieces on display and why they were chosen to be displayed, or what significance they had in the art world. Something that would at least make it more of a learning experience. It definitely wasn't worth the $10 entry price, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
  • Went on Meijer sponsored free day. Place is well maintained but fairly light on actual exhibits, lots of huge common spaces with no art.

Where to stay in Grand Rapids

Only five hotels provide lodging downtown, but each charms its guests with a distinctive character. A small collection of bed and breakfasts and inns populate Old Town. These hotels are a five-minute walk from the city's main attractions, top restaurants, and conference centers, so they tend to fill up fast. Book a room early to ensure you get the lodging of your choice. There are also hotel chains near the airport and in residential areas; public transport and taxi service link these to the city's downtown.
