  • I attended one of the stroller tours with my daughter and grand daughter. It was amazing! I was wondering if it would be worth the time. The attendees who it was focused on were mostly less than a yea...  read more »
  • The museum is a gem with its collection of contemporary, impressionist, and a special collection of landscape art and women in art.
  • paintings, sculptures, statues, erection/installation of new art history, formation, can be seen with a rich example of the development. a gift shop is cute, a good choice for small souvenir shopping.

  • I really appreciate the work the museum does with the community. They have a room for creating art and offer a lot to schools. The museum itself is pretty meh. It seems rather stark and much of the art is hard to appreciate without more explanation.
  • So glad to have this place in our town. Great artwork in a great space. The building alone is inspiring. They have great summer events featuring bands, food trucks, and activities for the kids. This is what helps make GR so fun to live in.
  • It was best said by a previous user rating. "I'll give a generous two stars to this sparsely stocked art museum only because I enjoyed the local Michigan artist exhibit. Seriously, as we walked around we wondered when we were gonna get to the art only to realize that the few pictures scattered around the wall is what we paid $8 per person to see. The building is pretty large and were shocked to see how little art there was here! Maybe I'm spoiled from the Detroit Institute of Arts because it's LOADED with various forms of art that takes hours to enjoy and is free to residents of the tri-county area so to pay so much for so little was disappointing. I had to convince myself that I was helping local artists to justify the money. We checked out everything here i about an hour. We won't go back!"
  • Check for special events before you go; the artwork we saw was fantastic but the other floors were closed due to special event. We did get discount pricing, however.
  • Went while it was free during Festival Of The Arts. It was a nice way to cool down and enjoy the museum. It's always a delight to browse their collections. Its a nice stop for even the most amateur of art enthusiasts.
