  • My experience was horrible. Ive been a horse player for 20 years. I have a tvg account and consider horse racing and gambling as a passion and hobby. Ive been to Lone Star Park 10 years ago and was excited to revisit. The main bartender was so mean and when I asked to speak to a manager she said she was the manager. I asked to speak to someone above her and she didnt make an attempt to call anybody. I was so angered my friend and i didnt order any drinks or eat. I felt they didnt care about me as a customer and Ive been to less caliber tracks and was treated better.
  • Family friendly and fun! We always enjoy and day or evening watching the ponies run! The kids like to run around while the hubs and I place small bets and try our luck! The track and surrounding areas are clean and well maintained, and it's a great destination for people watching.
  • Raise the entrance price to 20$ a a person for kids and adults PLEASE! This for me was godawful. Its like traders village/cinco de mayo with a horse track. The music was way too loud (not even in english) you couldn't even hear the annoucer announce the horses. Kids just running a muck. Bar and book food service was great food tho was not. Had a burger that was burnt cardboard on outside and still red inside but was less than 1/4inch thick how do you do that. Horrible.
  • We bought seats on the Homestretch Patio for Dwight Yoakam on 4-9-16. I paid $120 for the table closest to the stage (table P1). Their website shows an unobstructed view of the stage. Instead we got a table with a view of a pillar supporting the roof. In addition, people on the lawn are allowed to stand directly in front of your $120 table, further blocking the view. We spoke to security and asked if they could move the people blocking our view, but they said they were not allowed to. Also, the jumbotron is blocked by the stage from these seats, so you can't even with the show there. DO NOT BUY SEATS ON THE PATIO!! I was able to track down social media manager for the Bar & Book and she promised to refund our seats. We will see if that happens or not. Either way, do not buy the patio seats. You will regret it. Edit: Your $120 table does not include bathroom privileges inside the Bar & Book. Your choices are a port-a-potty or all the way back inside LSP. Seriously? Edit 2: They serve Pepsi. In Texas. Edit 3: I did get a refund for the seats the next week, which was kind of the LSP staff to do. I still will not be coming back for concerts here again.
