  • The views are breathtaking of the dunes, the shoreline, and the lake. If you're feeling adventurous, run (carefully) down to the bottom to stick your feet in Lake Superior and get an amazing uphill pe...  more »
  • A must see! Views with history along the way. Paved hiking trail makes it easy to get to the view atop the dunes. The hearty may choose to descend and the log slide and then climb back up, but it's st...  more »
  • We didn't make it all the way down but definitely enjoyed the views! The Dunes are amazing and you can walk along the top for a short distance. You can also hike into the dunes which is well worth it!  more »

  • The views are amazing, Lake Superior is truly a fresh water ocean. Be warned that going down the hill is fast and fun, but the climb up is long and arduous.
  • Trees need some trimming but if you can zoom past it, beautiful shots
  • Great views and ability to climb some dunes.
  • Amazing view. Kids loved the sand dunes.
  • A must stop and see when on a Pictured Rocks visit. If you are really fit and in good physical shape you can jump, jump, jump down the super steep sand to the lake. BEWARE though, coming back up is a really huge work out. The sand is so steep that every step up slides back down 2/3 of your stride. So well worth it if you are physically fit enough. The scenic view from the top is stunning. If driving East after this, check out Sable Falls. Be prepared to hike a long walk but well worth it if you go past the Falls and all the way out to the lake.
