  • What a most glorious day, my wife and I had at the Stuhr Museum and Pioneer Village! The museum has many 1860-1960’s pieces with most in the 1880-1920 era. Some very nice displays from life on the pra...  more »

  • Great Nebraska museum with excellent tour guides. Railroad town has great replicas of how it was on the prairies back in old days. Great attraction for kids if you are in Grand Island area.  more »

  • The museum was everything that the brochure said it was. The old time Town had citizens dressed in Period dress and they knew their history and all the tasks that they were to perform according to the building that they hosted. One lady makes her own hats and it was so incredible to watch her do this. The blacksmith was a lot of fun and the tin maker will make you a cookie cutter if you just tell him what you want. We very much enjoyed our visit.
  • A beautiful place to spend the day. It was so much fun, and the price for.both entry and product was fair. Bring your walking shoes and appetite. The little store offers ice cream, sandwiches and beverages. It's.like you are having lunch in the 1800's. We were able to bring our dog....just keep them on a leash and bring poop bags to clean up after them. Those folks who were dressed in time wardrobe, did a great job with history and questions. An all around fun day. You wind be disappointed. Enjoy.
  • The main building was super clean and it was very easy to see all of the exhibits. Each exhibit had a short and easy to read description. Railroad town was our favorite though. The blacksmith served in the military, as do my husband and I, and he told us the tale of the horseshoe and the reason why it's lucky, then he made two and gave them to us. The whole place is beautiful and educational, and the staff is very sweet.
  • This museum is terrific for anyone, but especially children . It is a great way to give them a real historical experience of life in the olden days. It is very well kept up and beautifully maintained. I highly recommend it for travelers as well as the general public to experience over and over again.
  • Really enjoy how careful they have been to reconstruct the past. Their living history volunteers are helpful and very knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed the Memorial Day reenactment. It's worth the time to see the entire museum.
