  • If you're afraid of heights you probably shouldn't go here. About 20 feet of the trail has steep drops on both sides. If you have a high clearance 4wd, please go here, you won't regret it. I felt as though I was at the highest point in the whole canyon. Canyon edge on 3 sides. Both sides of my truck were getting scraped by branches in several places. I went in middle september, at the point, my truck thermometer read a high of 78 and low of 27 degrees Fahrenheit in the morning.
  • If you have a high clearance 4x4 vehicle, then this is a must do. The road to Point Sublime is about 18 miles long, and will take you about 2 hours so plan accordingly. Parts are rough and steep, but so long as your vehicle is up to the task, the payoff is immense. If you roll past the two campsites you find a looping picnic area, and if you look closely past that there will be a small footpath to the actual point itself. Be careful and enjoy the view. Sunrise and sunset are highly recommended. (When the sign says "High Clearance 4x4, they aren't really kidding either, if you doubt if your vehicle qualifies, there is a very real possibility it does not. We saw a brand new 4wd Dodge Durango that had to turn around while we were driving out.)
  • Best view of the Grand Canyon!
