Pull up your car in one of the ample parking spots and head to Moran Point for panoramic views of the Grand Canyon. The 2,182 m (7,160 ft) high lookout point features prominent views of the Colorado River--giving you a sense of the canyon's immense scale--and provides clear views of three of the main rock groups that make up the canyon. You'll find restrooms by the parking lot. You can plan Grand Canyon National Park trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.
Moran Point reviews
This point had some of the most beautiful views of the Canyon. Great places for some amazing pictures! more »
Moran Point is spectacular. Probably my favorite stop along the East Rim Drive. Would love to see it at sunrise more »
From Moran point you can see the river down below and you can also see the hiking trail that can be hiked by foot or by using a mule. With a binocular you can see the trail very clear. Amazing view! more »
A beautiful view of the Grand Canyon named after watercolor artist Thomas Moran. *photo below* Chasm of the Colorado, Thomas Moran, 1873
This is another of the very good viewpoint stops you can make in route to the Desert View Watchtower. Situated between Grandview Point and Lipan Point, pull off the road here for spectacular views into the Grand Canyon. Views northward towards the North Rim in particular are very impressive. You can see many layers of the Grand Canyon from here. There is a small point that juts out into the canyon here on the right hand side of the viewing area, this is Lipan Point. Note: If you are not in a rush when making the drive out to Desert View Watchtower, this is a good viewpoint to see. Otherwise, if you need to limit your stops, we preferred Grandview Point and Navajo Point, where you can see the Desert View Watchtower alongside the edge of the crayon. Note: The Desert View Drive from the Grand Canyon Village is a round trip 50 mile drive. Best to allow 2-3 hours in order to adhere to speed limits and to allow a few stops along the way for the viewpoints as well as the Tusayan Museum and Ruin and main attraction, the watchtower.
특별함보다는 평범함이 더 맞는 곳. 그래서 편안하게 그랜드캐년을 즐길수 있다.
