  • Among the points look the Sun in the East rim. You can imagine that invisible hand was carved Canyon Colorado River in his right hand. Also any points we feel the grandeur of the Grand Canyon.

  • Moran point was named after two brother's, Peter and Thomas, whom were both painters. I can truly see why they chose this viewpoint...awesome!  more »
  • This is one of the stops on the Desert Trail drive, and yet again offers amazing views of the Grand Canyon. Like everywhere it is extremely busy and parking is difficult, however well worth the views!  more »

  • A bit more toned down nature, and although the other outlooks were remarkable as well I did find this one most enjoyable
  • I liked it. Cool place. The grand canyon takes your breath away.
  • One of the great stops on the motor coach Desert View tour.
  • One of the best places on the tour to see the grand canyon. Took my cats here and they really enjoyed it.
  • Great view along the south rim. 3 trips to GC and have yet to hike down or do the north rim. I think I'll start a go fund me page.

Where to stay in Grand Canyon National Park

You'll find plenty of options if you want to stay inside Grand Canyon National Park. Most campgrounds and lodges sit around the South Rim area, and they tend to fill up quickly for summer visits, so book as far in advance as possible. The price range for lodge accommodations varies greatly, so there's something for nearly every budget. The less-visited North Rim features one lodge. For those who hike to the bottom of the canyon, dormitories and cabins are available at Phantom Ranch. If you can't secure a place in the park or find something there to your liking, the small village near the south entrance offers inns and economy motels. You’ll have the convenience of nearby restaurants if you stay there.
