Hopi Point, Grand Canyon National Park

Drive or take the free shuttle bus to Hopi Point for panoramic views of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. This spot offers wider expanses than some viewing points and is known as a great site to take in the sunsets because it showcases a range of hues within the colorful canyon. • One of the most beautiful points. Though crowded. Actually, each point very nicely. Enjoy tasty of the park. Certainly out of season is still reasonable to do it here. Especially with the setting sun, preferably already an hour earlier, it is wonderful.

  • We took the shuttle out to the West rim after a day of hiking and stopped here for the sunset. Great pictures.  more »
  • Another viewpoint overlooking the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Extraordinary landscape too, especially beautiful at sunset. We caught up with the red line of the shuttle to Hermits Rest and that you only take from train station to the Village. Visited November wasn't very busy.

  • Hopi Point is part of a cluster of viewpoint stops on the Hermit Rest Drive and Rim Trail, a few miles outside of the Grand Canyon Village. From here the views into canyon are outstanding, providing some very good photograph opportunities for visitors. This viewpoint is just past Powell Point and offers great 180 degree views of the North Rim, westward and eastward parts of the Grand Canyon. This is the first of the viewpoint stops, going west, that offer views of the Colorado River, which you can see glimpses of when scanning the canyon floor. Note: There are a few spots to park a car here and free shuttle village stop nearby. You can also reach Hopi Point by way of the Rim Trail walk.
  • This was the highlight stop of them all. What a view! There's also a restroom here so definitely make this a stop. It steps out into the canyon giving you a spectacular view and it's where I could get the best perspective, see the river and get that all important sense of scale.
  • This lookout is one of the main stops of the tour busses. It's views are great and the fact that the temperature is usually more mild than the rest of the state is great! Even if you're not with a tour group, you can just listen around and you'll hear plenty of great stories and history! Worth the visit for sure!
  • Take shuttle to Hermits and hike back to village. It's easier than other way. Great hike little over 7 miles. Took me 4h with stops for pictures. Trail is well maintained. Great views. Did it in March 20 2018. Below few pictures
  • Absolutley beautiful. Was here with family on vacation and cannot wait to return for more adventure. Hopi loint is just a gateway to so much more. Wonderful experience. Views are breath taking. So awesome.
