  • Spent a few hours with my family building sand castles and swimming in the lake. This certainly is a nice place to visit if you're in the DFW area.  more »
  • The lake is kinda gross sometimes, and the beach sand isn't the highest quality. But when you're in the middle of a state like Texas, are you really expecting the best? It'll do when it's 100+ degrees out.
  • It is a great spot to visit when you're "beach-sick" and can't yet make it to the Texas Gulf. Unfortunately, there were issues with maybe a more thorough/frequent park cleaning is in need? (We walked the shore and picked up nearly everything but dog sh*t and decaying watermelon..) WISH there were shells! Great Cabanas, picnic tables, and waste receptacles. Get there EARLY or you'll be stuck without shade -- or bring your own. It gets REALLY busy in the afternoons on wknds.. Showers and foot sprayers avaliable, but soo much sand right where you wash..not worth it. Great fun for my kiddos to visit w Grandma -- that's what made the place great! I def wanna check out beach volleyball and kyak rentals next time!
  • Trashy and more trash. We went after a rainy spring season, so maybe that is why there is so much debris. People litter all over the beach. City needs to take initiative and clean daily and rake. Typical Texas lake with muddy bottom and stinky sand (because of rotting branches). People were also not the best, cursing and some nudity incidents. Go early and claim a covered picnic table. Splash pad does not drain properly, will probably attract mosquitos if not corrected.
  • A well-kept beach park with a good sized swimming area and a handful of covered beach ramadas. There is also a kids splash park.
  • Nice beach. Splash pad for toddlers. Covered picnic areas. Had free lunch for kids under 18.
