  • The view of Mt. Hood and the Timberline ski runs is great from the dam. It’s a nifty place to visit on a snowy fall day, fun for kids and dogs that can pull sleds through the relatively vacant campgro...  more »
  • Loved this lake! Loved this campground! Can’t wait to go back. Reservations are hard to get we booked at 6am, six months out and felt very lucky to get three spots for our family Campout. We did not g...  more »
  • But though I'd still snow so much because there was no drive from Trillium Lake. Winter parking my car, we walked about 2 miles from there. Just good to walk, weather permitting. Snow shoes and don't forget to. There were a lot of people walking along the Lake was frozen, so. Can't see the Mt Hood upside down in a freezing order.

  • Very beautiful place. It can be a little busy in the afternoons and evenings, but most of the people are polite and considerate. We took our rafts there and had fun peacefully drifting around the lake. Great view of Mount Hood! Nice little docks and lots of little fish jumping for if you want to go fishing.
  • Good spot to watch Mt.Hood. Road from the main road to the lake could closed in winter due to the heavy snow covered, the map will not show this but it’s still accessible by foot. If you want to reach there to watch the sunrise, arrive there as early as possible by 35 minutes at least.
  • Nice long snow hike as evening fell - we started out from the parking lot at around 2, tromped down the hill in time to watch dusk settle over the lake. Saw lots of snow animals reminiscent of Donnie Darko and added a snow gnome to accompany them. Pretty perfect place when it's not totally overrun.
  • Great place to spend time outdoors. During winter months the road and campgrounds are closed to drive in. You can park just off Highway 26 and hike in to get to the lake. On clear weather days you can witness awesome views of Mt. Hood. Great hiking and fishing. Even several different spots for rock climbing just a short hike away.
  • Often a busy location, Trillium is a great hike year round (groomed snow trails in winter may require snow shoes after a storm, come prepared for the season). The view across the lake is amazing on a clear day. Just remember you need snopark in the winter and NW Forest or $5 in the summer for parking.
