  • Try to get some early skiing in and it was way too icy. An expert skier, but even I a problem navigating. Come back in 2018. I would suggest going to Timberline or Meadows even if it does snow.  more »

  • A good spot for a quick or short ski trip. Found the lunch offering at the West Bowl area to be underwhelming with the bar having the better offerings. The biggest warning is to avoid the green run named "Lake Road" as it is truly a snow-covered road maintained for their service equipment and snowmobiles. While it is listed as a possible ski run on their downhill trail map it is definitely a combination access road and cross country ski trail with definite uphill sections.
  • It's a good spot to go when the snow is there. Parking is a toss up most of the time, and the Fusion pass let's you go here and timberline for the season which is really cool. Lots of black diamond runs which is surprising from looking at it on the surface. Haven't hit up the night skiing yet but soon... The beer stube was great. Nachos were pretty monstrous which is just wild.
  • My boyfriend and I have gone snow tubing at Mt Hood Jan 2017 and had a wonderful time as the lines were short and there was a lower section of tubing managed by the staff and an upper (more steeper) slope to risk and experience. However, Dec 31, 2017, understandably it was NYE and everyone was looking for a good time, the lines were not managed at all, causing people to push/shove to get ahead of lines (unfortunately, most were unsupervised children/teens). Also, not all tubers were checked for a valid tag, therefore the "overdue" tags (or as I noticed, lack thereof), were continuing to tube. Also, the upper slope was not open probably causing more of the crowd. My family purchased four adult tickets ($37/person) to last two hours, and only tubed twice. There needs to be a better way to organize lines for the SAFETY, HAPPINESS of customers, and EFFICIENCY. Please decrease the capacity of people you sell tickets to, whether it'd be signing up earlier or monitoring the tagging system.
  • Visited here to go tubing. Paid $98 for three adults (anyone over 48" tall) and one junior for two hours. Absolute waste of money. Very long lines. We were only able to tube down the hill three times in one hour! You have to wait for the attendant to tell a group to go, then have to wait for all the people who went to clear the landing area, which they do very slowly, and wait for the attendant again. The run is not long so not much fun and ends at a orange fence before a wooded area. The attendants kept yelling at people to not hit the fence and wanted everyone to drag their feet the whole way down so they wouldn't hit it. I would not recommend going here.
  • Long lines for snow tubing. How long? I wrote this while waiting in line. Food is questionable, and tickets are overpriced for the volume of guests attempting to use the rides. They make you feel like a small blood cell in a cholesterol filled artery. Only 4-5 lanes open for hundreds of people snow tubing. You are better off buying a sled and finding hill around the corner. You're actually better off at meadows. I will admit that sliding down the hill was fun the few times I tried it. But I would gladly pass the nect time I am offered to snow tube at Skibowl.
