  • Try to get some early skiing in and it was way too icy. An expert skier, but even I a problem navigating. Come back in 2018. I would suggest going to Timberline or Meadows even if it does snow.  more »

  • Slopes for all ranges, we went tubing on a Sunday at 9.30 am and was not at all crowded.. by 12 there were a lot of people coming in though.. totally worth the price.. great value.. we bought a 4 pack snow tubing deal worth 79$.. it was great that the place had a shop with all the right winter gear.. we had to buy better gloves for us and I must say the shop saved us.. beautiful scenic place .. will recommend and will surely visit again.
  • In my opinion (and I know this is shared by many others), Ski Bowl has some of the best alpine ski terrain on Mt Hood, though it's not technically on Mt Hood. The only catch is that they don't get much snow most winters due to the low elevation. But if the snow is good, this place is awesome. It's also the closest ski area to Portland and has a pretty epic night ski setup when conditions are good. Also, don't miss the mid-mountain hut at the base of the upper bowl. It's a fun spot to warm up, eat a snack, and grab a beer (or hot chocolate). Plus, there's a pretty fun, low key, snow tubing and snow play area for kids and families.
  • Brought a group of 7 people to end spring break with intertubing. It was our first time and we enjoyed it! We did the 12-2 session and the lines were very short. The conveyor belt was a life saver bringing us up the hill with the tubes. The 2 hours was almost the perfect amount of time for our group. The price was a bit more than I usually pay for activities, but was very reasonable for our tubing experience. The mountain itself is beautiful and we would definitely come back.
  • I really like snowboarding at Skibowl, I've been going here for the 3 - close admission, the last couple times. Sure it doesn't have the most lifts or runs, but for under $40 evening / night admissions, you can't complain! I like how easily accessible it is too! Having fun in the freestyle area and bombing down the upper bowl is always a good time!
  • Great place with lots of terrain to ski that has a homey, neighborhood, even more of a fun feel to it compared to the fancier resorts. It's also more affordable than Meadows and Timberline. The lifts are old - school, twin-chair lifts that are a little slower than the fast quads at other places which is reflected in the lower priced lift tickets.
