  • This is one of SoCal’s best kept secrets for parents with young children! We were looking to do something new this Memorial Day, so made this our first stop on a somewhat whacky day trip. The...  more »
  • Nice break from driving. It is located directly above Lake Pyramid. It is on I-5 1/2 way between Valencia and Bakersfield. Interactive items involving water and it's traveling thru the aquaduct...  more »
  • During drive from Yosemite to Los Angeles, we stopped by at Vista Del Lago for toilet break. The lake view is magnificent. We can see many speed boats, jet ski, water sports activities on the lake.  more »

  • Definitely a LEARNING CENTER! its rather small but it's perfect for a visit in the middle of nowhere. It's nice & cool equipped with water & bathrooms. Many 2D models, displays, graphs, tons of pics, hands-on stuff & brief educational videos & take-home brochures. Definitely stop by & take a look. It's not a whole lot of walking either PLUS its a very nice view if the full pyramid lake out in the back. Go see!
  • I've been driving past this place for decades and just this weekend stopped for the first time. I'm so glad we did! The views of Pyramid Lake are gorgeous. Inside is a small, free museum with exhibits about the water cycle and the California Water Project. I'm an Earth Science teacher, and I learned so much from my time there. I really wish I could take my class there. We will definitely stop again when we have all the kids with us. Bathrooms were clean and parking was easy.
  • Great place to stop to stretch your legs, go to the bathroom, take your dog out, learn something new, etc etc. This place had some great views and even better resources for learning about the CA water delivery system. Everything is easy to understand without being only suitable for kids. If you really stop to read everything you'll actually learn a ton - but you don't have to if you don't want to. There is tons of parking and the views of pyramid lake are stunning. Overall a great stop!
  • We stopped here to stretch our legs (traffic was at a stop, 1st pic) and use the restroom. Restrooms were very clean. The overview is fantastic of Pyramid Lake. Next time we past through there, we will stop and maybe check out the rest of the place which is a mini museum.
  • Nice place for a pit stop. Beautiful views. Really great place if you have kids that need to stretch their legs. Very informative and interesting history wise. Restrooms are very clean. I highly recommend a stop if you need to.
