Where to stay in Golden

Rustic cabins and cottages outside the downtown area allow travelers to experience the destination like an early prospector.

  • Unique historical mansion built for an industrialist specifically for the funeral of Buffalo Bill. Immaculately kept up at the top of Lookout Mountain, it is free to visit and can be rented out for weddings, meetings, and other events. The house retains some of the original custom furnishings as well as architectural plans and the history of the structure. Really great place to drop in if you are in the area.
  • Historic, stone mansion tucked in the woods on top of lookout mountain and a perfect place for an event!
  • Hiked some trails, while we waited for the visitor center to open.
  • I love the Boettcher Mansion, the staff, and the amazing views, I have nothing but great memories at this wonderful place. When I lived in Colorado, I would make it a point to bring my friends and family to visit the Boettcher Mansion, and experience what the views of the Rocky Mountains are like from above the clouds, the wild life, and the home of The Colorado Arts & Crafts Society. Learn about Colorado‚Äôs history, and Charles Boettcher's family and social legacy. Make sure to visit the Lookout Mountain Nature Center at the other end of the parking lot, kids love it. P.S. The Wedding Shows (held several times throughout the year) are the best time to add yummy sample treats to your visit, I recommend it :=)
  • great for weddings and events
