  • Amazing! We went for a walk during a rain storm and the cliffs were amazing and a little scary. The trails reminded me of beauty and the beast with one very dark trail and one that led to the cliffs w...  more »
  • We read about this beach and wanted to try and do it. She doesn’t care for heights and doesn’t have great balance. We finally made it and it was indeed worth the effort. We were able to sit and relax ...  more »
  • This beach was recommended by our hotel and I read several Trip Advisor reviews before going. The trail to the beach is to the right of the parking lot. The left trail is a viewpoint only. Off we went...  more »

  • Beautiful spot, lots to see & good moderately easy hiking. Be aware: there are tall steep cliffs with no railing at all, so those prone to vertigo or acrophobia might not enjoy this place. It's also the most primitive state park I've ever encountered, so keep in mind that the 'trail' to the beach is aspirational at best (steep, muddy, eroding). This is a blessing, as it keeps the crowds down (although the second day I was there, some nasty fool defecated right at the trailhead, with soiled toilet paper strewn everywhere... people ruin everything). Lastly, I actually saw a large sea otter on the beach, sunning himself & taking a sand-bath. So cool. ETA: My bad, it was a river otter; they apparently swim over from the nearby mouth of the Rogue River, looking for seafood like the rest of us. Sea otters apparently never come to shore & mostly live farther north. No less cool to hang out with the little guy for a while though....
  • Otter Point State Park and the whole Gold Beach area that connects too the Rouge River is a awesome location to visit and fish!!. The area has several little areas to camp and park a RV with some great small restaurants in the area. The beach areas are fantastic! With rocky coastal areas and too the north miles of untouched wilderness to explore. This out of the way location always proves to be a area that has less people and traffic which makes for a great vacation location every time you go there.. plus during weekdays you could have most of Gold Beach and Otter Point State Park all to yourselves. Lots of very friendly locals.
  • Beautiful views of the ocean. Be very careful especially with children and pets... the cliffs drop off to the beach, rocks and sea. Stay back from the edge when you walk out from the parking lot on the trail to the sea.
  • Beautiful beautiful spot on the Oregon coast. If you use the north trail to the beach it's a great place for kids and dogs and just walking on the sand; the southern trails are a bit treacherous with cliffs and may not be the safest place for small children or dogs. This area is also an awesome spot for agate hunting!
  • Definitely worth a stop. Will be back! Easy trails and amazing views!
