Thermal Spa Spa / Wellness
The world’s largest hot springs pool, Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, has been a haven for spa-goers in the Rockies for over a century. The grounds’ sandstone bathhouse has been completely renovated with the Western spirit of the Rockies in mind to promote serenity between visitors and their natural surroundings. If you are craving some physical activity, you can swim laps in the deep end or hit the diving board. If you prefer to relax, simply sit back in the soothing minerals of the site's therapy pool, which is constantly kept at approximately 40 C (104 F). You can also stay at the spa's 107-room lodge, which offers mini golf and a childrens pool, in additional to its all-natural healing pools. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Glenwood Springs holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The hotel lodge is nice, clean and staff are very helpful and informative. The stay is relaxing and pleasant. I would give this a 5 star; however, one of the female lifeguard is tackles on how she talk to the visitors. There is a right way on how to get somebody else attention and not yelling at people at the pool especially when these people are adults and have children and grandkids. I do not know if somebody has complained about this female lifeguard but if not, to the pool manager remind some good manners please. It makes the stay unpleasant when one is yelling as if somebody is fighting. Otherwise overall stay is good.
  • Great for the whole family. We all love the perfect temperature warm pool. Its huge and we are able to enjoy the pool without feeling crowded. We had a blast on the water slides. My one year old enjoyed the kid pool. Doesn't have the harsh chemically smell or feel of other public pools as it is natural. We also enjoyed the hotter smaller pool, very relaxing. The dinning options make it convenient to stay all day and its good stuff. Left feeling repelished and entertained. Can't wait till our next visit.
  • Absolutely loved it. A huge space. Great for a family. Worth the money if you stay half the day. You can bring a picnic or eat there. Showers are clean and nice too. We will be returning for sure.
  • Must see if visiting Glenwood. Huge pool with plenty of room. Tube slide fun for all ages. Wouldn't recommend the blue slide for average or taller adults, as it beats you up quite a bit. Good, reasonably priced ice cream.
  • Easy access to public mineral hot-spring pools. Short walk across the river & interstate if parking is hard to find. The pools are clean. Family of 4 costed ~$80, including slide passes. Locker rooms, showers, restaurant, gift shop all in the same building. Towels and lockers rented for small fees. Great place to spend a day sunbathing and soaking in the minerals.

Where to stay in Glenwood Springs

Most of the places to stay in Glenwood Springs sit within walking distance of the Colorado River. The hot springs pool lies on the north bank of the river, as do many of the town's hotels. Most of the town, however, is on the south bank of the river, so choose a place here for better access to local services and entertainment. Accommodations in town range from bed and breakfasts to historical hotels to resorts. You'll also find numerous national chain hotels and vacation rentals in condominiums and private homes. If you're looking to ski at Aspen and stay in Glenwood Springs as a less-expensive lodging alternative, inquire at local hotels about accommodation-and-lift-ticket packages.
