  • We stopped here totally by accident, but were glad we did. This is a great travel stop to buy gas, snacks, or a full meal. Very clean with lots of parking. We stopped on our trip west the first time, ...  more »
  • On the Texas/NM border, on I-40, we stopped because we needed gas, and discovered a really good(and free admission) transportation museum. Art, the name of the greeter added stories about how Mr. Russ...  more »
  • Even though I don't often go I-40 to NM when I do, I always stop at Russell's. It is such a fun place to take a walk through looking at all the memorabilia. Every time I stop I see something new I had...  more »

  • Good food, horrible service. Took a waitress almost 10 minutes to help us even though the restaurant was empty and they just kept staring as if we were there to just sit. We had to stop one of them just for a drink. The food came out in a good amount of time and was pretty good. Should have gotten it to go would have been more worth it
  • Fantastic food and great clean showers and facility. Always cheerful staff with freindly smiles. One of my favorite stops along I-40 in New Mexico.
  • We are planning a trip down Route 66 in our small Mitsubishi electric car. New Mexico is a challenging environment for finding places to plug in and charge. We have been really happy about the friendliness Of most folks in helping us plug in, since we only require a 110 volt regular plug. We pay for the electricity we Use. No friendliness or help at Russells. Since they were highly recommended by a friend, we called to ask them if they had a regular outlet to plug into. They didn't just say no, they were rude and quite upset that we even asked. We offered them a large amount of money to pay for the elecricity and they were rude again. Russells is the ONLY business in New Mexico that was not nice to us when we asked. Highly disappointed. We will NEVER stop there on our frequent trips west, whether we are traveling in our electric or gas car. Sad to Find such an unfriendly business in one of our favorite states!
  • Cool place to visit. There is a car museum that you just have to see. The man & lady who greeted me were an awesome team. Told me if I needed anything, just to whistle and they'd help. You have to stop in. Their dining is a version of the 60's. Red and white all around.
  • Awesome place to grab a bite to eat, just minutes before Texas. Get your last taste of green chili. Because everything after this stop is jalapenos and curry. 😭. Transporters please do your logs before proceeding, as a resident of NEW MEXICO. Don't chance it. Cops are cool but after your caught in your bed of lies, your done...#169
