  • Lived in the area for three months and for two months Mon-Fri cycled almost the length of New York, then up the ramp to Deuk parking lot....then ran the Mes Loop. I'm no spring chicken (60) and there'...  more »
  • Deukmejian Wilderness Park is a really nice place that we enjoy taking our dog (on leash) The lower grassy areas are very pleasant, and then the hikes up the hill quickly reach some beautiful vistas. ...  more »
  • When city life gets to me, I come here. The view alone can soothe your soul. It is a great place to hike, picnic, or just check out from the daily grind.  more »
  • Good hiking trails and plenty parking spaces. Weekend mornings and evenings trails get busy. Need some improvement with sign boards and information board for hikers about the trails. Sometimes people visit the park even after dark which is not permitted but there is no one to restrict.
  • Good park with several trails to provide varied challenges. People are friendly and trails are not too busy.
  • Honestly this is a great place for a nice retreat from the city. It's well kept, is clean, is tucked away, and offers great views of the surrounding valley and city. The trails are decent too, ranging from a simple loop, to the long Mt. Lukens trail to the top. Lots of rosemary grows here and on the mountain that I occasionally pick for cooking, and there is a few Bay Laurel trees that I also pick a few leaves from now and again to cook with. I proposed to my long time girlfriend here (now wife!) after setting up a long scavenger hunt that ended at the top of one of the lookout points. Bring a lunch and come visit! It's a nice smaller park that is good for all hiker levels.
  • This is a nice park with challenging hikes. Hikers will enjoy the nice, clean bathrooms.
  • Trails heading in each direction. Most of the trails are full sun, so plan accordingly. Best hiked in the spring and fall.
