  • The park was a bit crowded the day we were there. But fun for the kids, the adults waded in the Paluxy River while the kids floated on tubes and climbed on rocks.  more »
  • Across from RV park and pool, lots of people playing on rocks and stream. Small damn just above the rocks, didn't see any fish caught, but several people trying.  more »
  • When they say BIG rocks, they aren't kidding. There are very interesting formations and the geological intricacies are amazing. A great place to bring your kids.  more »

  • Went by the Big Rocks a few times during our stay in Glen Rose. It was a great place to spend a half hour between planned events. Our toddler loved climbing all over the rocks and really wanted to go into the water. There are some sections were there was broken glass, so we had to be careful with our little one. There's a long paved path along the river nearby that was also really neat. It started with a walk along the dam, which our toddler really liked too.
  • Seriously in love with this place. It was amazing and shallow in parts for my little one. Then had a deeper areas for my bigger kids. Lots of river rocks and just beautiful cool water. The rocks are fun and easy to climb. My ONLY complaint was the fact that we totally didn't see the "amoeba" sign until we left. My little one was drinking the water and well needless to say I was a bit terrified for a while after, But that was my own fault! Lovely place in Glen Rose!
  • Good place to hang out and explore. Just bring your swimsuit so you can go swimming in the river! The rocks are a great place for hide and seek too.
  • Litteraly what it says it is... Big rocks to climb on. Don't get caught trying to get in touch with your Primal side and set a small campfire ablaze. Rest assure the athouritys in this town have nothing better to do then help you snuff it out.
  • This is a hidden gem. We have been here several times now and enjoy it every time. Bring a swim suit, it's s great place for all ages. Little one love it too.
