  • I never knew about this place and had been to Glen Rose a couple of times. My brother-in-law clued me in, and I'm glad he did. These are just amazing huge rocks along the Paluxy river worth the stop a...  more »
  • Very relaxing great atmosphere. Great place just to wade in the water and kick back and enjoy. Weather was great
  • Even if you just do a quick drive-by, go see Big Rocks and ponder how in the world something that big ended up right there. Fun for kids to traverse and a good swimming hole in the warmer months.

  • Very unique place! Lots of fun to play in the water, but bring water shoes, the rocks in the river are very slippery! We had lots of fun, but if you are going when it's very hot, bring shade! There is almost none there. Very neat the city provides this free! Check it out!
  • We drive nearly an hour to visit this park. It's beautiful when the water is running, and it feels so good to float just over the rocks. The kids love to climb the rocks and explore the crevices between. Yes, you may see a couple pieces of trash from careless people. My advice is if you want a beautiful location, don't rely on others, pick up a piece and get it in the trash.
  • Fun place to take kids to swim and play in the shallow water. Be careful, lots of slippery spots! You can walk down the river a good ways and see all of the little minnows. Ample parking spots and easy entry into the water.
  • A perfect place to take the family. During the heat of the summer bring a tent or a blanket to post up in the shade. It's great for all ages and you can't beat free.
  • Awesome city park. Definitely worth a stop if driving by with the kids to climb on the rocks and safe in the river.
