  • In the midst of a weekend dragging kids through the historic house-museums and relic collections of Gettysburg, this was such a breath of fresh air. When we walked in (for Free), we were greeted by a ...  more »
  • Great place to visit. Staff was very informative. Gave a great view of what the citizens went through during the war. Free and worth a donation.  more »
  • This is an interactive museum which is free, but I believe it is only open on weekends. We had a lovely chat with one of the staff, and we enjoyed our visit. It was right across the road from our B&B.  more »

  • Went with a group of Boy Scouts. There is a lot of great history here. There are different levels of activities that have you search around the house for answers to clues. After you complete the challenge there are prizes for completion. The exhibits in this house are very well done and do a great job teaching about the properties use and history.
  • Wonderful representation of the civilian perspective of the war. Thoroughly enjoyed the home and exhibits. Loved the curators---so amazingly knowledgeable and passionate. Often, I believe we tend to forget how the lives of the civilians and the town itself was affected by the war for decades to follow.
  • Learned some cool stuff here
  • Lots of cool things to see.
  • While walking in Gettysburg today, we came upon the Rupp House History Center and decided to go in. Very glad we did! The house had a lot of information and had a video that you could view in the sitting area. The best part was the woman who was in the hallway when we entered dressed in period clothing. She was very knowledgeable about the house and the events that took place in Gettysburg July 1863. We really enjoyed listening to her narrative! Well worth the stop if you are in Gettysburg.
