  • When traveling, took me to the local people. Easy-to-understand description of the battle by the Cyclorama. Interesting exhibits, such as American civil war weapons and clothing.

  • The National Military Park was a great place to visit. Be sure to check out everything there, so you don't miss out on something. You buy tickets for several thing there and then take a bus to actually visit them. Familiarize yourself with the area before you visit and make a list of things you want to see and do while you are there. The staff is helpful, so don't be afraid to ask. Even the bus drivers are open to answering questions. Lots of history to explore in the area. You'll need several days to see everything.
  • If you’re attending for the first time or 10th, I encourage you to book a private tour. Absolutely the best experience you’ll have. The guides are not only extremely knowledgeable, they are passionate about what they do. Our guide, Jim, made the history alive, personal and moving. His humor was quite enjoyable, as well. I went back a second day just to take it all in with a completely new appreciation for this historic battle.
  • This place is awesome. Over one million artifacts and you learn SO much. We spent 5 hours here and only got to see 1/3 of the museum because we read everything and fully soaked in the exhibits and information. Need to come back another 2 days to see the other 2 thirds. The cyclorama was amazing and film was cool! Definite must see when in Gettysburg. We heard they change the entire museum every 5 years (due in 2018).
  • What an amazing place. The museum was exceptional. Buy the auto tour and listen as you drive through. It was such a moving experience. What was surprising was the stillness, even with others around. Everyone needs to see Gettysburg. As an American it is important to understand this sacred place.
  • Underated museum of civil war history. Very well designers and doing a self auto tour is a plus. You can Google Gettysburg auto tour on YouTube or help out the museum buy buying the CD. it is worth your time to visit this historical site.
