Where to stay in Gettysburg

Though Gettysburg offers plenty of lodging options to suit every visitor's budget, remember that you must reserve your room at least a few months ahead of time if you plan to attend the popular battle reenactments. Many inns in the heart of town offer both a sense of history and many modern amenities, including exercise facilities and both indoor and outdoor pools. You can also choose to stay at a comfortable hotel just northwest of the area's historical battlefield complex, located only minutes from downtown.

  • We saw parts of the cemetery and the Jennie Wade memorial. We spent more time in the National Cemetery next to Evergreen. Both are well worth a visit.  more »

  • Fascinating old graveyard. Quite large and we'll maintained
  • Cool.
  • Fantastic old cemetery
  • Very beautiful and haunting at the same time. The park rangers and helpful and nice. The fence surrounding the cemetery is the original white house fence. Some conflict on where the exact spot is for Lincoln's address.
  • A place of honor and respect. Keep ghost tours out.
