  • We were given a gift certificate from my children so we felt compelled to visit this place. We are so glad we did. A wonderful tour, a gorgeous place and a good opportunity to learn about a time that ended abruptly during the Civit War. We had a very good tour leader. I will go back to this place and do some painting along the river. A nice place to hang out.
  • This plantation is fascinating. The owners live on the property and allow for tours in the home. The tea room has food that is top notch and the Gin Gin soup is out of this world amazing!! Ms. Vera comes and teaches sweet grass basket weaving and is extremely interesting. Spend the day there, you won't want to leave. Love this place!!!! Definite 5 star PLUS!!
  • Found the plantation on line while looking for places along 17 in South Carolina to tour. We happened to be traveling on a Thursday and got to take the basket weaving class as well a tour and lunch. It was all a great experience.
  • Interesting tour. Tea room was attractive.
  • We hosted our bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner at Hopsewee Plantation, and Raejean catered our wedding at another location. Everything was absolutely delicious! She worked with us from day one to make a menu that was both within our vision and our budget. The food was delicious and my only regret is not eating enough of it at the wedding :) The venue is absolutely stunning. The large oaks with Spanish moss hanging down makes for the most romantic view ever! Whether you are looking to host a small event or a wedding, Hopsewee has so much to offer. Thanks so much to Raejean and the rest of the staff for helping us put on the wedding of our dreams! Love, The Dixons
