  • Beautiful tea room on the river. Food is beautifully presented. Staff is very accommodating. It's a family favorite. Have also gone with groups of ladies. Relaxing and a treat.
  • They gave us a free private look and tour last summer. Super nice people also said my brother could fish on the river if he wanted.
  • I’m confused as to how visiting a plantation could be exciting for some people? That’s sickening. This is a place where human beings suffered...
  • I give this a 4. It was a pretty location, right on the river, and a great walking place. However, the tea room, while quaint, was more for girls than guys. I didn't see anything special, and my wife liked it. It was expensive. Be warned, this is not a cheap place. The tea was good, but you can buy it at the Charleston Tea Plantation. The house tour was good, it some facts were wrong. A lot of it was opinion and as a South Carolinian didn't quite like the opinion. Such as, nobody likes magnolia trees cause the leaves are slippery and the blooms are all at the top? Gotta say, I grew up getting the blooms and putting them out for Easter, as did many other Carolinians I know. Lastly, this is someone's residence. So we saw phone cords and stuff out. It felt like we were invading somebody's privacy. Kinda felt wierd. All on all, a fine place to visit once. I wouldn't make the trek for a second time.
  • History isn't always pretty but we have to accept and remember so some things are never repeated... Thanks for preserving history.
