Capital Prize Gold Mine Tour, Georgetown

Thank you so much for such a unique and true experience! Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed the knowledge of the owner and his mine. We really liked how we got to mine real stone from the back of the mine and then wash them and find out all about the veining. The kids all took home real mineral rocks from the mine they dug out. We even stayed longer than our hour and the owner was so nice. Definitely go to this one for a real and unique experience all will enjoy!

Myself and my two kids completely loved coming to this mine. It was our first mine tour and we definitely got the gold fever! Greg was knowledgeable and was eager to answer any questions we had. Rock smashing and panning for gold was a memory me and my kids won't forget. Thanks guys! Your awesome

We just took our 7 kids, ages 16, 14, 11, 7, 5, 3 and 2 and it was awesome. I have been on several gold mine tours before, but this my first time in a functioning, working mine. The kids thought it was so cool to learn about how they mine for gold and separate out the gold from the other metals. The guides were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I could tell that they were passionate about what they do. Only complaint is the bathroom facilities. I recommend taking your kids to a restroom elsewhere before showing up for the tour.

Fascinating tour of a gold/silver mine from the actual owner of the mine. Greg provided insight into the labor and expense that goes into securing an ounce of gold dust. Even my teenagers enjoyed the tour..and that's saying something! Worth the stop.

My first tour; Greg and Daniella were great the wait and the tour went very smooth loved learning about everything. I went with a large group of people so many of us got to tour the town while we waited it was a great experience altogether!
