  • This may be nice for the family trip. A place to stop when the kids are bored and the road trip need's a break. Its dated and a bit of a tourist trap from the 60's. still that being said it was intere...  more »

  • Loved it. They have a shop in the front with different fudges, coffees, cups, rugs and many other items for house decor, they sell boots, and have a kid section. The museum part was amazing prices are cheap and worth it I loved every second of it and had fun checking off the list as I went. Worth it if you have a little kid who loves animals or as an adult who just loves seeing different animals
  • Very inexpensive tourist attraction. A great gift shop with unusual items I've never seen anywhere else. In the back there is an interpretive exhibition that is a great learning experience even for the seasoned outdoor person.
  • This is actually one of my favorite tourist traps on the way up the UP. Not just for the museum, which is fun to go through once or twice, but also for the gift shop. Everything in the shop is beautiful, unique and very fairly priced. I was up in this neck of the woods for a work training around Christmas and the place was beautiful! Check it out if you're there, you won't regret it.
  • Saw this place on MI Under the Radar and knew our 4 and 1 1/2 year old girls would love it. It's a fun, nostalgic museum. The gift shop is really impressive!
  • Have thoroughly enjoyed taking my children here several times. Beware the very lifelike bear when you round one particular corner. It has freaked out every one of my kids!
