  • I had a blast at the free* (*costs $5 but you get a $5 coupon to spend in the store) moonshine tasting! Some of them were quite good, some were a bit more "experimental". Josh was our bartender and he was entertaining. Very interesting place albeit quite touristy.
  • What a fun place. Boots was our tour guide, and Zach was our tasting guide. Both did an awesome job. Highly recommend doing the moonshine tasting. Where can you get 12 half shots for $5 and then have the $5 go towards your purchase. So much fun.
  • Zach, aka Meat Candy was great! They gave us coupons for doing the taste test, which unfortunately they are required to charge for. The shine flavors were all delicious and the merchandise wasn't ridiculously expensive.
  • Enjoyed tasting all the flavors. Wish I could have gotten at least 3 different flavors, but this was a tight budget trip. Tip: Don't go to a moonshine tasting BEFORE breakfast. :) I'm sure that applies to anything that will go straight to your head. Other than learning that the hard way we really enjoyed this. (Thankfully I was smart enough to not taste everything that was offered & to eat quickly after we were finished.)
  • We wandered in serendipitously right as a tour was beginning, and 'Boots' asked if we wanted to join. She gave a fascinating, energetic and thorough talk and demonstration of the whole process :) then of course we had to do a taste test! The quality of the moonshine, the atmosphere/experience, and the staff (also a shout out to Tadpole, our tasting guide) are just clearly head and shoulders above the place a few doors down, which we had checked out the other day.
