  • This is a great shop. Very happy to share information on where to fish for what and what's working. Ask them for a map of the streams in the Smokies. It is color coded for the species of trout in each stream in the National Park. If you're hiring a guide, I highly recommend Chad Williams. He gave me a great lesson in Czech nymphing that was a game changer and took great care of my wife who came fishing with us. Great guy. Looking forward to fishing with him again someday. Thanks Chad!
  • Great shop and great fishing trip. I was on a 4 day trip with my wife visiting her parents and we stopped into this shop to look around. The young guy at the desk was so nice and answered all my questions so I decided to book a trip the next day. I paid for the trip and a fishing license. Everything is included after that. It is really show and go. I met the guide at the shop at 730 am and he was ready to go. I was provided with top of the line wading boots and neoprene socks. We did not go with waders because the water level was very low. I was right away given two options which I really appreciated; a lot more bites for smaller fish or less bites for potentially bigger fish. As I come from salt water and wanted to learn this art I chose the first option. We drove in Chad's jeep into the national park and got out some gear and he explained some things as we got ready and then hiked a little bit down to the stream. I had some idea of what to expect as I had caught a small rainbow on spin behind my in law's house. I found the whole technical aspect of learning to catch these small fish to be just fascinating. I learned so much in four hours just as I had hoped. Chad taught me some modern strategies along with what the "old timers" do. There was a lot of climbing over rocks and through streams which I loved but Chad said each trip is focused around the angler. I should say that I am in shape and an avid hiker so I loved hiking over rocks to different holes. I caught quite a few fish, all small but the rods were 3 wt and 4 wt so it is lots of fun. I probably missed twice what I caught because the bites are so subtle. It really requires some finesse. I also should say that I own two kayak tour companies and was very impressed with the whole operation. Bottom line; its affordable, its fun. Drop the family at Ripleys or a fudge shop and just go. If you love fly fishing you will learn a whole new art on the smallest scale with lots of fun and excitement. Chris Boland Naples Outfitters Naples Florida
  • If there is anything you lady’s and gents need just give us a call!!!
  • Me and wife chose this place because it was close to our cabins were staying at in pigeon forge. Skipping to the trip itself. We chose to do a half day (4hr) trout fishing trip for $225.00. We get to the store they give you your waders to wear while your fishing. Then a "guide" drives his personally owned vehicle along a road adjacent to a creek you past driving to the place. The fishing trip, you park then climb down the little rocky wall to the creek. He gets your fly fishing poles setup and shows you how to cast and explains how to fly fish, we didnt know how to. Well between me and my wife we caught 3 minnows with my wife catching 2 of those. The minnows were just that minnows if you wanted to be picky i would say they were baby minnows. Well the "guide" was really thrilled and so excited the 3 times we caught those. If you do go on the half day trout fishing trip you will before the first hr realize you made a mistake like we did . I stopped fishing 2 and half hrs into the trip glad i had my camera to take pictures while I sat there and looked at water. The guide kept talking trying to make conversations such as your getting the hang of this. Nice view huh etc. etc.. They drive you back and thats it. Closing I would NOT reccomend the HALF DAY 4 Hr.trout trip we took. They do offer other trips good luck but I dont have enough faith in those after our first trip. If I could post our little minnows on here I would.
  • I had so many questions - poor guy- but he was so pleasant and helpful and answered all of them! I am so excited about our trip!
