  • We did the moonshine tasting, and for $5, it's very worth it, considering you also get a $5 off coupon. The tasting takes about 10 minutes and it's about 13 mini shots, which is enough to definitely g...  more »

  • Pay $5 to sample about 13 different types of shine then they give u $5 gift coupon so if u buy something u can use it. There's another ole smokey moonshine shop down the street also that has different flavors. This one had more of the fruity stuff. The other one had more of the standard whiskey and blends.... more traditional stuff. Well worth stopping in even if you don't drink it is neat to see how they make it.
  • Staff in the evening was much better and way friendlier than the staff working the following morning. The guy working this past week on Tuesday the April 25th was wonderful. Great personality to everyone he met during the time we were there. Brought more family there before we headed back home the next morning and atmosphere pretty bad. Totally opposite from previous evening so I would advise going late in afternoon for a really good time.
  • Fun to go and try flavored moonshine. In the past, it was free. Now they charge $5. I've found the jars of moonshine elsewhere cheaper and it's easy to make apple pie from their white lightning or everclear cheaper then they sell it. Still, they are selling an experience and brand and they do it well, so it's worth stopping in. It was better in the past when it seemed the bartenders were less scripted. Last time I was there they were giving away a knife with the purchase of two jars. The bartender tried to make a joke about drinking and stabbing people with it. I ignored her and drank my thimble of flavored moonshine. It tasted the same with or without the knife.
  • The bartender gets everyone in a good mood and has fun. You get a 1/3 shot sample of about 15 different whiskeys and moonshines, they started charging $5 a head which was disappointing (it was free last year), but you know they have to cover their overhead. One tip, wait and buy their whiskey and "moonshine" at liquor barn and save $5-10 a bottle.
  • This place is a lot of fun. The server's go through and describe each flavor of hooch. Not sure if they give the same descriptions, but the guy who served me was hilarious. I would recommend this place to friends and family
