  • We stopped here and found some great gear off the clearance rack. They have a great variety to choose from and we liked the kids area. If you need stuff as you head into the GSM stop here first!
  • Watch out Big Box outdoor retailers. I have discovered a store that gives their customers exceptional 'old fashion' service. Joseph took the time to listen to 'what' I wanted in a hiking boot then he ...  more »
  • We love to stop at the NOC when we are in the park hiking to check out new gear, or just to walk around and check everything out. The employees are very helpful, and the store is always clean, and tid...  more »

  • Everything you need for your hiking/camping/fishing/climbing outdoor needs. Fun cave area for the kids to play in and great staff that showed our son how to use flint to make sparks. I wished they had more plus sizes. I do think that their guide tour booth has decreased in size and they didn't have too much information regarding their services other than rafting. The NOC rafting was awesome.
  • Compared to REI, they have just about everything the same but just a little less selection. But still definitely everything you need. Very retail place though, they are missing some of the hardcore backpacking essentials. At least the stuff that is light and doesn't cost a million dollars.
  • A nice store that doubles as a gateway to the Smoky Mountains. I would say however that if you're looking to outfit yourself for some serious hiking, you may want to look elsewhere. Yes, they have much of what you need, but I got the feel that this store is more focused on the tourist and not the serious outdoors person. If you're missing a thing or two, you'll find a replacement option here, but that's about all I'd look for.
  • Love this store! Great selection of outdoor awesome things!
  • Good quality gear. I purchased a new pair of boots and immediately hiked up to LeConte Lodge, no issues at all.
