Observation Deck Tourist Spot
Admire a view of the Great Smoky Mountains and the city panorama from the top of Gatlinburg Space Needle. The tower rises 124 m (407 ft) over the city, and two elevators take you to the observation deck on top. Elevators run frequently and can carry up to 20 people at once. Up on the platform, you can learn about the area's history and geography and use free telescopes. You don't have to reserve tickets ahead of time, but discounts are available if you purchase online. • Prior to the trip, I had friends visit Gatlinburg, and I saw on Instagram, that they visited the Space Needle. When I rolled up, the view overall was pretty good, for being in Downtown Gatlinburg. Alt...  more »
  • This looks like it's going to be awesome however it is old and felt very unsafe. The view is great. The elevator was very shaky and the platform at the top needs replacing. We felt very unsafe there.  more »
  • This is a terrific family destination. So much to do, plenty of places to eat. We really enjoyed "DICKS" restaurant. I'm from NJ and was so pleased to find out it only cost us $6 to park for the whole...  more »

  • Great view as expected. Here are some tips: The elevator that goes to the observation deck is right behind the counter. So, don't go looking for it in the arcade. Next, make sure you get one if the many free coupon books in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and get $2 dollars off for each adult ticket. You will need a coupon for each adult. Not every free coupon book has the space Needle, so look through the free books and then pick up as many as you need to get all adults a discount.
  • Reasonable price and you get to go up 2 times in a 24 hour period for one price. Little slow going up and down during peak times because they only have one elevator going at this time. Can see the entire city and region from up there. Can spend as long as you want at the top. Short walk from the main strip of Gatlinburg. Arcade at the bottom with many fun games.
  • It's fun to try one time for the view. But the elevator going up is kinda slow and creepy. The telescopes are free to use. I would recommend if it's your first time to Gatlinburg.
  • This is a must on your trip to Gatlinburg. The arcade is amazing for all ages. Pizza is great. We purchased the package discount and was able to get extra coins for the package to Needle and games.
  • Actually pretty nice. I didn't care to go up, but everyone else wanted to. But you actually get really nice views.
