Admire a view of the Great Smoky Mountains and the city panorama from the top of Gatlinburg Space Needle. The tower rises 124 m (407 ft) over the city, and two elevators take you to the observation deck on top. Elevators run frequently and can carry up to 20 people at once. Up on the platform, you can learn about the area's history and geography and use free telescopes. You don't have to reserve tickets ahead of time, but discounts are available if you purchase online. • Great overview of the entire area with free binoculars located at the top so you can zoom into the distance. Price is under $10 for adults and you get a 2nd trip when you come back within 24 hours. We went up at sunset to see the city lights then during the day.
