  • If you like unique pieces, they definitely offer a lot. There are tons of items available for purchase. We felt the prices were not cheap, but well worth it.  more »

  • Great source of pottery We've purchased a number of pieces from Alewine over the years and have been quite happy with them. We have apple bakers, small bowls, an oil lamp. All of their pieces are advertised as microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. The store is always fun to browse and a number of pieces are on display. As they're handmade obviously each piece is different, but you can find similar colors and patterns if you look. This time we noticed there was a small kids play table. This was excellent for a store where you don't want kids wandering around (as many pottery pieces are displayed rather low). We enjoyed the area where I could distract the kids while my wife browsed (or vice versa). If you're in the area it is well worth a stop. You'll usually find a small area of discounted pieces too.
  • Very interesting place... Could have stayed for hours
  • Nice pottery but everything seemed pretty expensive. I am glad we went since so many people recommended it, but so much was out of our price range.
  • My vacation is not complete without a visit or 2 to Alewine Pottery. My favorite shopping destination in the Smokys. Great family, beautiful pottery and friendly folks.
  • We visited the first time in 2012 and I vowed to come back. We are having a family reunion this year and I'm definitely going back. The employees are amazing and Robert himself comes out to talk to visitors too
