  • I love the pottery here. It is expensive but well worth the price. I buy one new piece every time I go. I have 4 pieces now and love them all. It is cool to go in and watch them work.  more »

  • Great source of pottery We've purchased a number of pieces from Alewine over the years and have been quite happy with them. We have apple bakers, small bowls, an oil lamp. All of their pieces are advertised as microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. The store is always fun to browse and a number of pieces are on display. As they're handmade obviously each piece is different, but you can find similar colors and patterns if you look. This time we noticed there was a small kids play table. This was excellent for a store where you don't want kids wandering around (as many pottery pieces are displayed rather low). We enjoyed the area where I could distract the kids while my wife browsed (or vice versa). If you're in the area it is well worth a stop. You'll usually find a small area of discounted pieces too.
  • Rather fun place and i adore the pottery and have started my own collection. They also often have a band playing!
  • We visited the first time in 2012 and I vowed to come back. We are having a family reunion this year and I'm definitely going back. The employees are amazing and Robert himself comes out to talk to visitors too
  • I love the look of all the pieces. They are very beautiful, however, I am not happy with the quality. I bought a mug while in TN on my honeymoon, and just this morning while pouring coffee into it, it cracked and now leaks. This was one of my only momentos from my honeymoon (less than a year ago) and I am heartbroken.. I loved that mug and I didn't use it very often either. Rather disappointed in such an expensive piece that didn't get much use. Glad I didn't buy more 'functional' pieces from them!
  • We visit here every trip we take to Gatlinburg. The pieces are so unique and beautiful. Well made, dishwasher safe (personal favorite) and like taking a piece of the mountains back home with you. Great selection, great Christian people.
