  • If only it was warmer outside... the views were spectacular. But that's what you get when you decide to visit a wine trail the 1st week in March. It was snowing on and off, but we longed to take a gla...  more »
  • Off the beaten track, but worth the ride, is the Whitecliff Vineyard and Winery. Their wine is excellent and some more reasonably priced than others. We enjoyed their Red Trail wine, and was one of th...  more »

  • I've only been to Robibero before this, and it's the same type of deal -- wine flights + free glass, $2 off if you buy a bottle. They have various flights: dry white, fruity, sweet dessert wines, rosé, dry red, whitecliff, bubbles... The fruity flight was $10 for 5 different wine tastings. The Rosé flight was $8 for 4 wine tastings. I really enjoyed the 2014 Traminette! That was the best out of all of them. They're also known for the Awosting White and Redtrail. They also serve cheese, so you can get some cheese and crackers and take your wine outside to their picnic tables outside and enjoy the sun (or shade).
  • This is the best winemaker in lower NY without considering LI. This is a must-go-to if you're in the Hudson Valley. Been a club member for years and couldn't believe anyone would rate this winery 🍷 below a four. Makes award winning wines in both white and red. Not a one hit wonder winemaker. Don't forget to bring a picnic basket and enjoy the view of the cliffs.
  • I went to the Harvest Festival at Bethel Woods and decided to taste their wine. The lady giving samples was ignoring me and letting others ahead of me who were obviously older. Maybe she thought she'd let the elderly people ahead of me because they can afford wine and "I can't" ? Who knows. But when it was finally my turn, she poured the smallest amount possible into a shot glass for me to taste. I don't know whether or not she thought I was under age, but she could have simply asked for my identification instead of being so rude.
  • A large variety of wines (and almost exclusively vegan!!), friendly and knowledgeable staff, beautiful view and atmosphere, and dog friendly, which is a HUGE bonus.
  • These winemakers are serious and passionate about what they do! Perfect place to go for a tasting. Wines are great, beautiful setting, and very knowledgeable staff. Hudson Valley treasure!
