During a recent visit to Orange, CA I decided to stop at the Crystal Cathedral. I found that the name has changed, and that it's currently owned by the Catholic Diocese. It is currently under going an... read more »

A true architectural masterpiece. It is easily reached by car: from Highway # 5, take exit # 109/A, is less than a mile from Disney park just to the side of the outlet of Orange (among the cheapest in town). I recommend that you attend a function for being able to admire from the inside. It is possible to visit not only individually but also with organised tours (about 45 minutes) with guide and groups of 15 people (to be booked directly from the site of the Cathedral). Nice to visit the park where it is located and where stands the formidable Bell Tower. To devote half a day: is definitely one of the nicest things we've seen throughout California. I love this gigantic glass building and I wish it was a Catholic Cathedral. In 2013, I was thrilled that it finally became part of Catholic diocese of Orange. I know it was God's will that it became part of the Catholic worship place.
Great place to be! Awesome you have to visit if you visit LOS ANGELES! BEAUTIFUL
Hopefully they can keep this place for spirit faith, pray , love and hope . Don't like the markets around church! "Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves." Jesus made a whip. He chased out all the people who worked at the tables. He said, ‘How dare you turn my Father’s house into a market’ (John 2:16). He sent away those who cheated people. We call this the ‘cleansing of the Temple’
The interior of the building will not be ready for about two yrs mass is held at the hall it was a joy to walk the grounds we now have a mini vatican.
Gaudy display of church wealth. And I'm of the faith. Should have plunked the money into the needy - not a tower to heaven .
