  • Each time we visit Galveston we always look over from the ferry and say hey lets go see the submarine and never actually go and do it. This year we did and it was pretty neat to get on board the ship ...  more »
  • This is something I made my kids do not gonna lie. I have wanted to go the last 2 times we came to Galveston. My youngest loved it my oldest...a preteen girl...didnt when we were there. Two hours late...  more »
  • Tour is self-guided and very interesting, even if you're not into this sort of thing. Well done. Entry to park is $6/car and tour for adults is $10 each. Well worth it. The day we visited was HOT and ...  more »

  • It was a very cool experience getting to go into the submarine and the destroyer, They had alot of smaller rooms blocked off and set up as they would be when they were in use. I wish that they would be able to get another piece of history to explore or have more of an indoor part as well. Its a cool experience but go on a cool day.
  • Way over priced. $24 bucks for two people to fish, not catch fish. Rocks or something just off the deck. Lost a ton of tackle no matter how I rigged.. Only caught a couple hard head cats . Way to many good placs to catch fish for free. I only paid to go in because my brother in law was there. I have spent many years here on the island. I don't recall any of my many local friends telling me to fish at Sea Wolf. I know why now.
  • The submarine and battleship are self-toured at your leisure, there's a lot of history to be seen on both of those ships, the park is a wonderful place to rest after climbing steps. There is also an audio tour, but we weren't able to do that, the day we were there. This is on my highly recommended places to visit while you're in Galveston. Don't get too close to the pelicans though.
  • Great place to spend afternoon. Submarine and destroyer were really neat to see. Kids had a blast
  • The ships are neat to walk through and allow more hands on than I expected. The playground is new and fantastic; it just needs some shady benches for the adults.

Where to stay in Galveston

When choosing accommodations in Galveston, remember that the closer you stay to the water, the more you are likely to pay. Top prices usually get you a spacious room packed with modern amenities plus sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico. You can save a bundle by staying away from the city's popular beachfront. If your home away from home is on wheels, consider one of Galveston's RV parks and resorts.
